2011 Canadian Weblog Awards First Place for SGA

SomeGoodAdventure.com is pleased to announce we have won first place for ‘Best Weblog About Sports, Fitness & Recreation’ in the 2011 Canadian Weblog Awards.

The Canadian Weblog Awards are judged by a volunteer jury of both bloggers and blog enthusiasts using the following criteria. This way, each of the weblogs is judged by its quality, not its popularity.
The jury uses a number system to value the criteria and weight their decisions. The weblogs in each category are judged against two divisions of elements: Design and Content.
Design criteria are based on usability, accessibility, functionality, interactivity and aesthetics.
Content criteria is based on originality, clarity, timeliness, authenticity and detail.
I’d like to think it was a combination of most of the criteria for design and content that brought home the gold for SomeGoodAdventure.com as I strive to make the site useable, appealing and content heavy.
